Surviving The Holidays

Though the weather has barely begun to change and only the first leaves have begun to fall, thoughts of the holidays can’t help but follow. Thanksgiving will be here in just a couple of months and Christmas will be here before we know it.  For many, that brings feelings of joy and excitement, but for others this can be an extremely difficult time of year.

You may feel overwhelmed by all you think you’re expected to do – the special meals you need to shop for and prepare, the gifts to pick out, pay for, and wrap, the cookies that need to be baked and decorated, the Christmas cards that need to be addressed, the family gatherings that need to be planned, the parties that need to be attended. The list goes on and on. For some, there may have been a job loss, or a divorce or separation. Others are experiencing a serious illness or have had a death in the family that will forever change the way holidays are celebrated.

You are not alone! No matter what you’re facing or dealing with this holiday season we hope you’ll join us for a practical guide to Surviving the Holidays, led by a professional Christian counselor. This workshop will help you find the inner strength you need in order to approach the holidays with peace and hope. Hear some practical advice and learn helpful coping skills as you learn how to experience this holiday season in a healthier way.
