The Lamb Center
The Lamb Center is a day-time drop in center serving the homeless in Fairfax City area in Fairfax County.  It is made up of a partnership of local congregations to help provide a safe place for the homeless.  Staff and volunteers come along side  guests to serve them in practical ways, encourage them spiritually and provide tools and resources needed to make the transition to a stable and productive life.  Those who serve at the Lamb Center are richly fed by the testimonies of the poor, and get to experience the joy that comes from serving those who are hurting and broken.  They are located at 3220 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA 22030.   Their doors are open Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM.

There are a variety of ways to serve at the Lamb Center and the need is great for those with a heart to serve in practical ways on a regular basis.  Some of the needs include preparing and serving breakfast, answering phones, doing laundry, and just spending time talking with guests.  There is also a great need for people with specific skills that they could offer such as website development for the Center, career counseling for guests, sharing from the Word during daily prayer time with the guests, plus much more.  What is your area of expertise?  How could you use that to serve these hurting people and offer hope?  To inquire about volunteer opportunities please contact David Larrabee or Patti Brown Monday - Saturday from 8:00 AM -3:00 PM at  703-691-3178

Prepare and Serve Hot Lunch or Breakfast

The Lamb Center is committed to serving their guests hot lunches Monday through Saturday.  Since they are not able to prepare hot meals on site, they depend on volunteers to prepare meals for 75+ people at their homes and bring them in hot to serve.  This is a great way to team up and serve with your small group!
