Devotion:
The Holy Spirit is not a distant force or an abstract idea: he is the third person of the Trinity. Jesus describes him as the Advocate, the one who comes alongside, who remains with us and within us. This means we are never left to navigate life, faith, or suffering on our own. The Spirit is God’s personal and active presence, guiding us into truth and leading us to Jesus.
So often we relate to God at a distance, as if He is near only in certain moments or places. But the indwelling Spirit of Christ dissolves that distance. He dwells with us in the ordinary, in quiet prayers, in restless thoughts, in moments of decision, and even in our confusion. Learning to recognize His presence is less about striving and more about awareness. He is already here. The invitation to this gift is to become attentive. Where in your daily life might the Holy Spirit already be present and inviting your attention?

Prayer:
Come, Holy Spirit, help me to know you not as an idea, but as God’s true, personal presence with me. Open my eyes to where you are already at work in my life. Teach me to listen, to trust, and to follow your gentle leading. Remind me that I am not alone, and form in me a deeper awareness of your nearness each day. Thank you for your presence. Amen.
