Week 3: Leviticus and the Gospel
Day 20: Loving Your Neighbor
Silence:
Spend five minutes in silence preparing for the new day.
Scripture Reading: Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:36-40
“‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. ~ Leviticus 19:18
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” ~ Matthew 22:36-40
Devotional Thought:
Reflect on the command to love your neighbor as yourself and how Jesus emphasized this as one of the greatest commandments.
Reflection/Application:
How can you practice loving your neighbor in practical ways? Who in your life needs to experience God’s love through you?
