Anxiety and Depression in Adults
April 30 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Do you feel sad or hopeless? Do you have a hard time getting joy out of activities that used to be fun? Are you worried, afraid, or just plain uneasy? Depression and anxiety are like flip sides of the same coin. Being depressed can make us anxious, and anxiety of makes us feel depressed. If you or someone you know is dealing with depression or anxiety there may be a belief that it will never get better and that nothing and no one can help. That is far from the truth!
In this workshop on “Anxiety and Depression in Adults,” Dr. Craig Moorman will explain exactly what depression and anxiety are, how they differ and how they are alike. He’ll also offer some practical suggestions for learning to cope in each of these situations. Sometimes our circumstances can lead to a sense of despair that feels overwhelming. As difficult as these times are, they often offer an opportunity for building strength and resiliency.
