Bible Study: Gospel of Luke
January 24 from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Like the other Gospels, the book of Luke reports the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and long-promised Messiah. Luke’s Gospel describes a world in which sinners get saved while the religious leaders rejection salvation. A world in which those on the outside embrace Jesus while those who should have rejoiced to see Him instead reject him. A world in which the poor are delighted while the rich go away deflated.
As we read through this gospel together, we’ll examine all of those contradictions and the greatest one of all – the paradox of Jesus’ eternal power and His profound pain. Studying Luke’s Gospel will prepare each of us to take up our cross and walk with Jesus through every struggle, strengthened by faith in the God who is absolutely faithful to keep every promise He’s ever made.
12-week course meets every Thursday from 7:30-9pm (no meeting on April 18 – Spring Break/Easter)
