Our Student Ministries will be holding services for middle school and high school students on Sundays at 4:30 and 6:30pm. We hope to see many of our Hub and Hangar students there!

Attendance Guidelines

What will our on-site gatherings look like?

Students will register to attend service in-person in The Hangar. Pre-registration is required for each service to ensure we do not exceed our capacity in each venue.
Services will be limited to 50% capacity.

Students should enter the Family Lobby doors (those closest to the Hangar). The doors will open 10 minutes before each service. We are asking students to avoid congregating outside The Hangar at this time. When they enter the building, they will be asked to find a seat.

The Great Room Coffee Shop will not be open at this time.

What safety and health measures are being taken?

The Hangar will be operating at 50% capacity to allow for socially distanced seating between attendees. Extra time has already been allotted between services to allow us to sanitize each venue before the next service begins. Chairs will be arranged to accommodate social distancing. All students will be asked to sit six feet apart from one another in The Hangar. Chairs will be pre-set and we are asking them not to move the chairs during this season.

We are asking all students to use the individual bathrooms on the side of The Hangar. The lobby bathrooms will not be available during The Hangar.

Unless on-stage, all volunteers and staff are required to wear masks. All attendees are also required to wear masks (including children above the age of 2).

Am I really required to wear a mask?

Yes. This is a very important part of re-opening our building so that those around you may feel safe to come and worship in as safe an environment as possible. We continue to ask ourselves the question “what does love compel us to do?” And we strongly believe that wearing a mask is the loving thing to do in an indoor worship environment. We are not driven by fear. Wearing a mask is for others, not for myself.

If you do not have a mask or have forgotten your mask at home, we will have masks available at the door to give to you.  We are committed to kindly and lovingly remind you to have your mask on at all times.

Do I need to register to attend services?

Yes. Registration will open every Monday morning for the upcoming weekend’s services.
When you pre-register, you will select the service time you wish to attend. Registration is limited to accommodate our limited capacity in each service.

Students, please self-screen before attending a service. Anyone experiencing a fever, cough, or other COVID-19 symptoms should not attend. Vulnerable populations should not attend at this time.

What if I want to bring a friend to The Hangar?

We are so glad you are bringing your friend. You can register them as part of your group, and when you arrive you can find two seats that are next to each other, but still 6 feet apart. We are asking everyone to maintain physical distance.

What if I’m not ready to attend in-person services yet?

Until you feel comfortable attending in person, you are welcome to join us online. We are streaming our services each week on Church Online and on YouTube as an identical online worship experience to our in-person gatherings.

I'm new—how do I get connected?

If you are new to The Hangar, we would love to help you get connected.  Email us at students@fairfax.cc and we’ll make sure you have our summer calendar of events.
