$1 million — our goal

1. IN-PERSON WORSHIP

WHY?

Our goal is to create a more immersive worship experience that creatively expresses the gospel and invites each worshiper to experience God in fresh new ways. We are using technology not to impress or overwhelm but to invite people into a deeper level of participation in sacred worship. By renovating the space with an eye toward the future, we are creating an environment that can serve our church and community for years to come.

HOW?

We are completely redesigning our stage and updating equipment and integration systems, and some of which have not been touched since our sanctuary was built over 16 years ago. The centerpiece will be a hyper-versatile LED screen flanked by two new projection screens at the front of the sanctuary.

WHY?

God is using Fairfax to bring the hope of the gospel to individuals and families who may never walk through the doors of our church. Every sanctuary upgrade has been made with a dual purpose in mind: to bring not just our in-person but also our online community into a more immersive worship experience. New technology allows for new possibilities. Our vision is for more and more people, both locally and globally, to encounter God via our online worship experience.

HOW?

By investing in new technology that maximizes the impact of our worship space both in person and online, we are future-proofing our ability to reach even more people with the life-transforming message of the gospel. In addition to new LED and projection screens on the stage, upgraded cameras, audio, and visuals for our broadcast will allow us to facilitate a high-quality worship experience dedicated to our online community.

2. ONLINE WORSHIP

WHY?

Our goal is to transform the coffee shop into a destination not just for our church but also for our community. We are minutes from George Mason University and its 30,000+ students. Trinity Christian School is right around the corner and utilizes our parking lot during the week. We are also located on one of the busiest roads in Fairfax County. The outreach opportunities are endless.

HOW?

This will be a complete renovation of the coffee shop: new furniture, new flooring, new equipment, and new design. We want to create a comfortable, inviting environment where people can work, meet with friends, or just hang out. We want the coffee shop to be a place where people of all walks of life who might never go to church can experience rest, renewal, and hospitality that truly reflect the love of Christ.

WHY?

We know that walking into an unfamiliar space for the first time can be intimidating. Our vision is to redesign the main lobby to create space for fun and welcoming first impressions to naturally turn into meaningful relationships, as well as provide clear pathways to help people take those important next steps in their walk with Jesus.

HOW?

The lobby will get a facelift including new flooring and a new wall treatment featuring a LED screen that anchors the otherwise minimalist space. Our goal is to create an engaging environment that is filled with energy, provides timely information, and makes it easy to create intentional connections throughout the lobby.

5. PRODUCTION STUDIO

WHY?

We want to tell the stories of God's redeeming work in better and more creative ways. A dedicated studio space for recording and editing testimonies and other creative content will dramatically increase our capacity to communicate what God is doing in our church and in the world.

HOW?

Building out a production studio will be made possible by a complete redesign of one of our community room suites. It will involve soundproofing the space, purchasing new equipment specifically for video capture and materials for original studio designs, and merging the separate rooms within the suite to create one integrated studio.

BLESSING OTHERS WITH OUR RENOVATE CAMPAIGN

One of the core values of Fairfax Church is generosity. We encourage our congregation to live out the biblical principle of the tithe as a way to invest in the kingdom and break the control that money can have on our lives. We model that same principle as a church. Ten percent of all money that God entrusts to our care is given away to other organizations that are advancing the kingdom in powerful ways.

We will continue this practice with our renovate campaign. In keeping with the vision of renovate, we have identified an opportunity to do the work of renovation in a community of profound need. Ten percent of the amount raised by our renovate campaign will go to our friends and partners in Haiti.
