Day 35: The Hope of Faith

Scripture to meditate on: 1 Corinthians 13:13 Faith, Hope, and Love
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Devotional:
This verse speaks to me because it is saying how you can’t have faith and hope if you don’t first have Jesus’s love in your heart for others and yourself. It reminded me to show love during my day. Many of us have people we don’t care to be around or be friends with. God is calling us to love them, not hate them. They are made in the image of God, and so are you! That means they deserve to be treated well and be loved by you and others. This passage is saying that we, as humans, were made to love, have hope, and to have faith. God is saying that the most important part about being a Christian is the love we share through telling the good news and showing Jesus’s love towards others. Loving, having unconditional faith, and hoping through tough times is hard but a necessary value for a Christian. Leave room for the Holy Spirit to talk to you and guide your light throughout your day.
