Fairfax FISH Volunteer
Local Outreach | FlexibleFairfax FISH is a conglomerate of 14 churches serving the people of our community, in which Fairfax Church is a part of. They are always in need of phone captains and drivers to take orders and get the necessary resources to people in need who cannot leave their homes. The commitment is once a month to be on call for a specified amount of time during daytime hours to receive orders.

Food Distribution Volunteer
Local Outreach | Thursday MorningOur Food Distribution Team serves alongside a local group of residents distributing food to those in need in their Annandale neighborhood three Thursdays out of the month. Volunteers help load the truck, set up tables & tents, offload and distribute food donations. Volunteers can commit to once a month or weekly on Thursday between 9:00am – 12:00pm. We invite you to join us on a Thursday and see what the Food Distribution is all about!

Food Pantry Shoppers
Local Outreach | FlexibleJoin the team that shops for food and hygiene items needed to keep our shelves stocked in the Resource Center. Shoppers can shop weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, based on their availability and at their convenience. Reimbursements are provided for shoppers.

The Hangar is a community where middle and high school students connect to Jesus, unite to each other, and contribute to changing the world. Services consist of three major elements: worship, teaching, and small groups. On Sundays, middle school meets at 5:00pm and high school meets at 6:30pm.
Friends for Life LeaderHelp Needed
Friends for Life | Thursday EveningCo-lead and facilitate conversations during Friends for Life Bible Studies, assist in leading group activities, and build relationships with Friends for Life members.
About Friends for Life
Friends for Life is an opportunity for adults (22 and older) with disabilities to learn and grow into the men and women God made them to be. Friends for Life engages in fellowship with other believers, dives into Scripture to grow in faith, and serves the community together as a body of believers.
Graphic Design Volunteer
Creative Arts | Flexible, Saturday RehearsalServe with the Creative Arts team by helping to create and edit graphic and multimedia content. Junior Volunteer
Local Outreach | Thursday EveningThe Junior Team (ages 7th to 12th grade) meets Thursday evening from 5-6:30pm to do practical hands-on projects in the Resource Center. Students will work with an adult on any number of projects that the Resource Center may need to complete that week. These are the next generation of students being empowered to be the change in our communities.

Kids Corner VolunteerHelp Needed
Local Outreach | Thursday MorningEach Thursday at our Food Distribution we set up a Kids Corner to have a place for little children to hang out while their parents are waiting in line for food. We do an arts and craft project, read a book, and play games and have fun with the kids. Volunteers can commit to once a month or weekly on Thursday between 9:00am – 12:00pm. We invite you to join us on a Thursday and see what Kids Corner is all about!

Care | FlexibleCare for individuals who need someone to walk alongside them for a season. A lay counselor goes through extensive training through the Lay Counseling Institute. We need to look for counselors who are: men, women, couples, persons of color and those fluent in Spanish and Korean.

Local Outreach | FlexibleLead the charge in helping the Resource Center capture and communicate the beautiful moments taking place in the life of our ministry and our community. This position is responsible for fostering all creative based initiatives for the Resource Center, underneath the direction of Resource Center leadership. The lead creative will take charge of content development and management of our social media platforms, help develop our monthly newsletter, and work with our photographers and videographers to capture content.

Local Outreach | Either 9:15 or 11:00 Sunday Service, Wednesday MorningTo get a feel for the overall ministry of Fairfax Outreach, spend some time with our Resource Center volunteers on Wednesday or Sunday. The Resource Center is the hub of activity and where you will meet other people serving in various ways throughout the church, the community and globally. Each week we do a variety of tasks to keep our Resource Center running from shopping, stocking shelves, making essential bags, bundling diapers, and assembling donation requests from area social service providers.

Shuttle DriverHelp Needed
Hospitality | Both 9:15 and 11:00 Sunday Services, Either 9:15 or 11:00 Sunday ServiceHelp make space for our community by shuttling attendees to and from our building before, during, and after services! As a shuttle driver, you’ll help drive staff, volunteers and guests to our overflow parking spaces at Trinity Christian School, which is less than a mile away. No CDL license is required to drive the shuttle buses.
