Day 14
Start with Posture of Silence and Solitude (2 minutes)
Read Psalm 108 two or three times either aloud or silently.
A song. A psalm of David.
My heart, O God, is steadfast;
ย ย ย ย I will sing and make music with all my soul.
Awake, harp and lyre!
ย ย ย ย I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
ย ย ย ย I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
ย ย ย ย your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
ย ย ย ย let your glory be over all the earth.
Save us and help us with your right hand,
ย ย ย ย that those you love may be delivered.
God has spoken from his sanctuary:
ย ย ย ย โIn triumph I will parcel out Shechem
ย ย ย ย and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine;
ย ย ย ย Ephraim is my helmet,
ย ย ย ย Judah is my scepter.
Moab is my washbasin,
ย ย ย ย on Edom I toss my sandal;
ย ย ย ย over Philistia I shout in triumph.โ
Who will bring me to the fortified city?
ย ย ย ย Who will lead me to Edom?
Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us
ย ย ย ย and no longer go out with our armies?
Give us aid against the enemy,
ย ย ย ย for human help is worthless.
With God we will gain the victory,
ย ย ย ย and he will trample down our enemies.
What word or phrase stood out to you?: Meditate on that word or phrase.What might God be speaking to you this day?
Respond to God who has been speaking to you through the word: You can speak out your prayer to God or journal it as you reflect on the Psalm.
End with Posture of Silence and Solitude (2 minutes)
