Day 22
Start with Posture of Silence and Solitude (2 minutes)
Read Psalm 2 two or three times either aloud or silently.
Why do the nations conspire
ย ย ย ย and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up
ย ย ย ย and the rulers band together
ย ย ย ย against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
โLet us break their chains
ย ย ย ย and throw off their shackles.โ
The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
ย ย ย ย the Lord scoffs at them.
He rebukes them in his anger
ย ย ย ย and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
โI have installed my king
ย ย ย ย on Zion, my holy mountain.โ
I will proclaim the Lordโs decree:
He said to me, โYou are my son;
ย ย ย ย today I have become your father.
Ask me,
ย ย ย ย and I will make the nations your inheritance,
ย ย ย ย the ends of the earth your possession.
You will break them with a rod of iron;
ย ย ย ย you will dash them to pieces like pottery.โ
Therefore, you kings, be wise;
ย ย ย ย be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear
ย ย ย ย and celebrate his rule with trembling.
Kiss his son, or he will be angry
ย ย ย ย and your way will lead to your destruction,
for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
ย ย ย ย Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
What word or phrase stood out to you?: Meditate on that word or phrase.What might God be speaking to you this day?
Respond to God who has been speaking to you through the word: You can speak out your prayer to God or journal it as you reflect on the Psalm.
End with Posture of Silence and Solitude (2 minutes)
